Big Turn Out Scoops Medals and PB's Galore.

Dyce Mini Meet

By Rod Wallace on Friday 4th April 2014

The club turned out the biggest squad of swimmers that I have seen for over a year in this meet held at Westhill Swimming Pool.

All the swimmers did fantastically well, some in their first ever "big" gala, all doing the club proud.

Despite some over zealous officiating with DQ's flying around like sand in a storm there were far out numbered by some great PB's.

At the end of the day we came 3rd over all in the team points.

Sophie Bain had bragging rights over her big sister Alicea winning 2 Gold medals, Alicea still doing great with 1 Gold.

Fraser Dow enhanced his growing reputation as a man to watch out for in the future, bagging himself 1 Silver and 2 Bronze medals. :-)

Eilidh Brodie made mum and dad proud getting in on the act with her superb Silver medal.

Kirsty Purcell kept things going with a great Bronze medal in 50m Breast stroke.

And James Wallace completed the haul with a fine Bronze medal.

In total the swimmers achieved a total of 49 PB's.

Many thanks to all the coaches and officials without whom we wouldn't be able to participate.

Muchas Gracias
